Female Wrestling in Manga

A place to talk about our love for the art and artists of Japan, as per their depictions of women's professional wrestling.

Sorry, been away for a bit ...

Out of town visiting friends in California ... my apologies to those that have been sending emails, etc.

Let's see ... the "Rumble Roses" manga that was running in Dengaki Maoh is now finished; two books, available from Amazon.co.jp, can now take the place of the 16 magazine issues I bought (Doh!).

"Tatakae! Tarantella" issue #3 is out, which is the one you want if you want the wrestling match we looked at earlier (that had been a preview for the Weekly Manga it runs in, thus my error in saying it was due out in February).

"Comic Valkyrie", the magazine that carries the "Idol Wrestler" story has it's latest issue out.

"Beauty Fighter Wulong" is up to issue 17 at this point.

Finally this one;

And, as you click on those links, you can see other things that people have also bought along with those books ... no guaranties on the idea that other books will contain anything this blog looks at, but it's a way to at least see some options. So, a lot to order, for those that want to get some hard copy manga and cut down on those one-at-a-time shipping costs.

Yes, while I was away the doujinshi from the earlier post arrived in it's complete form. My contact just sent it as is ... I can't figure out what makes him cut it up sometimes and not at others ...

I've been doing some scanning of a bunch of my stuff, since some of you thought that being "virtual owners" would be OK as per new auctions, I thought maybe I'd put some out at the $3 - 5 rate from my out-of-print collection ... books that I dropped $60 - 350 for. Still working out how to do that (Paypal, I suppose), but that will at least speed things up as far as turn around goes for those that are interested, unlike when I would do scanning of a book at an hourly rate for individuals before. My thoughts are running to a "Manga of the week" kind of thing; post some samples from one and then send the whole thing, via email or link, to those that are interested ... more later on that.

Anyway, I'll keep you all as up to date as I can as per new finds, etc. Below are just a couple of drawings I thought you might like ... no manga or such (yet?).
